Short staffed today, had 4 folks and one was brand new. All female but me, so that cut my ministry time down due to i had to pull security.
The folks were in good moods. found new camps and some that had left and moved on down the line. Once under the main bridge area we lost all water. Apparantly the other ministries that normally help are cutting back. I dont know why but its all silly answers like nobody is donating or nobody to hand it out...
Maybe uWo is just blessed with getting stuff right now.
Yea our role has changed a little but were going with the needs. Like i said we ran out of water and had to hit a store to get more, and some socks.
We also had a woman we call Michelle who got beat up bad who lost all her clothes and neededd som stuff. the Hospital was going to release her in scrubs.....yep. We got there with an hour to spare.
Laura and the Butterfly Ministries had a great event up in Lake City at the old folks home there and really connected with them. They have residents who will preach to the crowd and they sang songs and talked. I met with 3 folks ( i got there late) who were quite inquisitive about the uWo, who Butter fly was, why we both did what we did and all sorts of questions and one said she lived in KARM (mission) when she was younger. We got asked to come back and do it again, by the residents.
We have Serene Manor in Knoxville coming up here in 2 weeks. If you havent seen a state run facility then you should come out. Its NOT a condo resort at all.
